No-one will ever write a song about a game of fortnite. No-one will pen a poem in honour of insta likes. No-one will rue not being ‘in the (Teams) room where it happened’. Those memories that last a lifetime are made face-to-face.

But face-to-face is under threat. Society has moved online, taking our social spaces with it.

We’ve seen the continuous erosion of social spaces from our high streets, and with it, the erosion of social connection from our communities.

And young people have sacrificed more than any other group in this war against ‘IRL’. Literally all the safe and inspiring spaces for young people to be together on our local high streets have been destroyed, only to be replaced by vape shops and fast-food outlets.

That’s why we’ve launched Moot.

It’s a dedicated social space. It’s there to give folk welcoming local places to come together — IRL.

And in doing so it creates a new model to fund social spaces for teenagers - becoming Moot Youth 3 days a week and giving local teenagers a space to be together, and be themselves.

No pressure, no performance, just real-world socialising.

Moot wasn’t dreamed up in a boardroom — it was built side by side with 25 creative, passionate young people from NW6. Our Founding Co-Creators shaped every detail, making sure it’s a place that actually feels right for young people. A place they want to come to, and keep coming back to.

and by doing so, they’re created somewhere fresh, playful, and inspiring.

It’s somewhere they can hang out, be themselves, and — most importantly — feel like they belong.

and so can everyone else.

THE IRL REVOLUTION THAT STARTS IN QUEEN’S PARK

Moot is our brainchild — Paul and Cheryl. We’re long-time colleagues, creative business leaders and parents of teenagers ourselves.

We believe the loss of social spaces and the quiet erosion of human connection is most profound challenge facing this generation. And no one is feeling that more acutely than teenagers.

So a couple of years ago, we decided to do something about it.

That something is Moot.

Moot brings together the best of membership clubs, youth organisations and local hospitality to create a new, scalable model for social spaces.

Moot NW6 is the pilot for this new model - funding safe, inspiring social spaces for teenagers, while also supporting a much wider range of communities to connect IRL.

Our ambition is to open 10 Moots over the next five years, positively impacting the lives of 10,000+ teenagers, supporting social connection across a diverse range of communities, and reinventing the social club for the 21st century.

We’ll raise further SEIS/EIS investment along the way. If you’d like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW?

  • Members enjoy unlimited access after school, on weekends and in school holidays. Our opening hours are listed at the bottom of the page.

  • Anyone in school years 7-12 can apply for membership

  • Every Moot member can bring two mates (who aren’t members) each time they come. It’s £4 on the door for non-members.

  • People that have experience working with young people and know how to make a space totally welcoming, totally inspiring, and create great vibes. Otherwise known as our amazing hosts!

  • Membership of Moot is currently £30 a month. There’s a minimum membership period of 1 month. And the £19.99 joining fee makes sure we can get you set up & ready to go.

  • See our membership page for the full skinny, but in a nutshell, our members get:

    • unlimited access to an incredible venue after school, on weekends and during the hols

    • three FREE mootcoin (game credits) every week

    • priority access & FREE tickets to events and workshops (including FreePlay Thursday, FOMO Fridays & Skill-up Sundays)

  • Our waitlist is open and we release membership spaces as they become available. Just click below to apply.

  • Then no worries. As long as you let us know within the first 14 days, we’ll refund your membership fee and cancel your membership (£19.99 registration fee is non-refundable). But Moot is designed by teenagers, for teenagers, so if you tell us what you don’t like, we can always change it!

  • members of Moot get 3 mootcoin each week as part of their membership. These can be exchanged for gameplay on the house games - basketball, table football, classic arcades and shuffleboard. Any food, drink and extra gameplay can then be bought at the bar with cash or card/applepay.
