OUR SESSIONS

A group of children and an adult gathered around a large table in a bright room, engaging in a craft activity.
A group of young people sitting in a cozy, dimly lit room with red walls, playing a card game and laughing together.
A young woman with a red baseball cap, headphones, and braided hair is DJing at a club or music venue. She is wearing a white, short-sleeved top and loose brown cargo pants, with several rings and accessories on her hand. There are colorful artworks and a plant on a red brick wall behind her.

HOWEVER YOU ROLL,
WE ROLL WITH IT

Kick-Back Thursdays are all about chilling out and catching up. There’s karaoke & Mario Kart, so grab a mic or controller and your best mates to back you up.

FOMO Fridays are where the weekend starts. Quiz Battles. Bangers Bingo. Traitors Night. Get in, get involved, make it a night to remember.

Skill-Up Sundays are our creative workshops led by creative types, topped off with a drop-in-darts session (everyone 14+ welcome, no need to be a member) so you can check-out properly:-)

And our end-of-term bash? Stuff of legend. Big. Loud. Absolute chaos. From halloween takeovers to silent discos and live magicians, we finish every term with a massive party. Everyone welcome (years 7-12), non-members included!

WHY MOOT EXISTS

It shouldn’t be hard to find somewhere to just hang out.

But for teenagers, it is.

Too old for kids’ stuff.
Too young for most other spaces.
And fewer and fewer places that welcome young people just… hanging out?

So they end up nowhere. On screens, in their bedrooms. Or in places where they’re not welcome… miserable places, places which aren’t designed for them. Drifting around.

We don’t think that’s good enough. So we built something better.

A space where teenagers can just be — hang out, see friends, get involved (or not), and feel comfortable doing it.

And where parents know it’s safe, properly run, and exactly where their teenagers SHOULD be, with the people they love to be with. Together.

People performing in a room decorated with cartoon posters and art, with colorful lights creating patterns on the ceiling and walls. One person is dressed in an inflatable bunny costume. Colorful lighting and audience members are visible.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW?

CREATING JOBS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

Moot isn't just a place for young people to spend time – it's a place where they develop their skills.

We're proud to employ young people aged 16+ as our front-of-house team at Moot, giving them the opportunity to build confidence, develop workplace skills and gain real experience and real responsibility in a supportive team environment. For many, it's a first job. For all, it's a chance to learn, contribute and take the next step.

Think you'd be a great addition to the team? We'd love to hear from you.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

MOOT YOUTH IS A
NOT-FOR-PROFIT (CIC)

Monthly memberships and guest fees go some way to covering the basics - the rent, the bills, the boring, non-negotiable stuff that keeps the lights on and the doors open.

Then we rely on support and donations to fund the activities for our members and their mates - the events, the creative workshops, the social sessions.

So if you’ve got a teenager, we’d love to welcome them through our door
And if you want to help us open the door wider, we’d love your support.
